Dirty Cut-up Project

These are the stills from a performance/video piece involving the manipulation of bodily/facial form through the use of dirty wet clay and pixel shifting. At the time I was interested in looking at dirt as a material for creative expression. There is, I think, a primitive carnality to the medium itself, particularly when used in conjunction with the body. In manipulating the medium upon the face and body, the notion of the mask emerges, of aliases and shape-shifting through physical appearance and dismemberment of form. the etc etc blergh finish later..
